I couldn’t recommend contented cats more. After caring for our lovely old boy for the last few years of his life and showing him such love and care, Carol and Lynn were the obvious choice once we took custody of two rambunctious younger cats.

We recently took a month away, and Carol gave brilliant advice on how to ensure our loved ones were not too lonely and was reassuring about the decision to leave them in our home rather than uprooting them to a cattery.

Contented Cats provided an invaluable service to me and my two kittens. I I was a big bag of worry when we were away. I knew that they were still quite young to be left, but sometimes life throws you a curve ball. One of the kittens was very shy and quite skittish. Every day I got updates and trust me when I say that the skittish kitten was in love with her foster hooman.  My skittish kitten had the look of love in her eyes and gave up her belly! Both kittens were totally healthy and happy by the time we got home. 

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Contented Cats. I’m not planning to go away for a long time, but if I have to; I will be in touch with Carol straight away.

We were late booking our normal cat hotel due to family and work commitments.I had never considered leaving the cats at home and someone caring for them @home.my cats were frightened and hated the very expensive cat hotel we left them in last year. The male hid in a box for the first 3 days and would only eat roast chicken .
This time; we could see they were happy- we have a catcam and Carol was completely unphased by that ; as a family we would be reassured when we saw them doing zoomies and clearly being happy, living their best lives. They ate well and were king and queen of the house for 2weeks!

Carol and her team at Contented Cats have cared for our cat many times over the last 9 years for anything from a few days up to periods of 6 weeks several times a year. We always have complete confidence in her team who provide lots of fuss time, messaging feedback and cat photos during our trips away. They also keep a good eye on any issues which may crop up in the house, garden and with the central heating especially during our long winter trips away which makes for a great feeling of confidence. Our cat was diagnosed with diabetes a few months ago requiring twice daily insulin injections but Carol and the team reassured us that they could handle this, and we are now able to again plan our many trips away with great confidence the cat is in the best of hands. Our rescue cat has always been a little timid and shy. We therefore couldn't leave her with just anyone and wanted her to stay in her own home environment. Carol and her team have looked after our boy, Blue, since he was a kitten. I was never comfortable with the idea of leaving him in a cattery, so felt really happy when I discovered Contented Cats. Carol is superb at looking after our cat for extended absences. It is obvious that our cat flourishes when Carol cares for her and she is delighted to see her again. There have been a few incidents over the years, though the Contented Cat team have kept us fully informed and resolved the issues. They are flexible and able to accommodate varied timeframes. We were very happy with Carol’s caring services. She not only tended to our 2 cats but also took great care of an extended family hamster for an additional miniscule fee.Our cats were very happy and well looked after the whole time. We have used Carol for a number of years now to look after our cat Dusty and keep an eye on our house every time we go on holiday. We have always found Carol to be trusting and reliable discharging her duty with due care and diligence. It is a comfort to know that while we are away someone is looking after our pet (s) and the house and keeping us updated. During winter 2010 while we were away our house was flooded following a burst pipe. As Carol had the key to the house she attended the house immediately upon notification. She assisted in stopping the water, save our furniture amongst other things and took Dusty to her house. Carol never relaxes until her client is back and confirms that they now have control of everything back. Without the invaluable support of Carol services our trips would be difficult to organise.

Just wanted to say thank you so much for looking after Inka while we were away and for taking care of fish, plants and birdfeeders etc. too. It makes such a difference being able to go away for such a long time and know we can leave Inka at home and that she will be well looked after instead of having to put her in a cattery and unsettle her. We appreciate the updates too and especially the photos…they were lovely. Everything was fine when we got back and Inka seemed pleased to see us. Thanks again for everything you all did.

I was very happy with the service provided and felt relaxed whilst on holiday in the knowledge that both Diablo and Ronnie where being well looked after, in fact, I don't even think they where too fussed when we arrived home - they had certainly been happy whilst we were away. Carol provides an amazing service, our cats fruli and mocha get very stressed at the slightest bit of change but when we got back they were healthy and happy and well groomed, our house also looked better than when we left it! Carol did a marvellous job and even brought in our post!

After my neighbour became ill 4 days before I was due to go away (leaving me with no one to look after my cat and chickens) my vet referred me to Carol at Contented Cats. I have two cats, but Contented Cats was less than the price of one cat at the local cattery. In fact the number of cats would not have affected the price - fantastic value! The care my two loved ones received was anything but economy though, both having a half hour playtime in their own home - there was none of the previous sulking when returning from a cage in the cattery. It takes a great leap of faith to invite someone into your home while you are away to look after your cats. I am pleased to say that Carol does a wonderful job.
